TipTop Help Nepal Sports Club and Nepal Police Club won the titles of the seventh Prime Minister Cup NVA National Club League here at the NSC covered hall here today.

Help Nepal defeated NPC 3-2 in men's section final. Help Nepal, who remained unbeaten in the league round to top the group, won the first set 25- 19 before NPC levelled the scores with a 25-11 win in second set. Help Nepal then dominated the show winning third and fourth sets by identical 25- 18 score to seal the victory.

Along with the trophy, Help Nepal got Rs 600,000, while NPC pocketed Rs 300,000.

Third-placed Tribhuvan Army Club and fourth-placed Nepal APF Club got Rs 150,000 and Rs 75,000 respectively.

In the women's section final, NPC recorded a 3-1 victory over APF. NPC won 25-12, 21- 25, 25-23, 25-19 to claim the trophy along with cash prize of Rs 600,000. APF received 300,000. Hongwanji New Diamond Sports Club came third, while TAC were fourth and they earned Rs 150,000 and Rs 75,000 respectively.

Aimal Khan of Help Nepal and Poonam Chand of NPC were named the best players of the tournament and they received Rs 35,000 each.

Help Nepal's Top Bahadur Thapa (libero), Adnan Khan (setter), Majhar Ali (spiker) and Utsav Khadka (coach) received individual awards along with APF's Hemanta Malla (server), Tac's Durga Bahadur Khadka (blocker) and NPC's Rabin Chand (emerging player).

In women's section, NPC's Shantikala Tamang (libero), Kamala Pun (setter), Usha Bhandari (spiker), Sumitra Regmi (emerging player) and Rupesh Bista (coach) won the individual awards. APF's Saraswati Chaudhary was named the best server, while TAC's Sangam Mahato was declared the best blocker. All the individual award winners in both sections received Rs 15,000 each, while emerging players earned Rs 10,000 apiece.

A total of 13 teams took part in the eight-day tournament organised by the Nepal Volleyball Association. National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising, Provincial Assembly Member of Gandaki Province Lil Bahadur Thapa, Rastriya Banijya Bank CEO Kiran Kumar Shrestha, former APF IG Durja Kumar Rai among others handed over the prizes to the winners.
