KATHMANDU: Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) registered a two-wicket victory over Nepal U-19 team in the first practice match on Saturday. In the match played at the Dharamsala Cricket Stadium, HPCA won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first. Nepal managed to score 207-8 in 40 overs with 66 runs from skipper Raju Rijal, while Rajbir Singh remained unbeaten for 42 and Dipendra Singh Airee made 34. Vinat Galetina claimed four wickets for HPCA, while Shivam Puri, Arjun Sharma and Sugam Parmar took a wicket apiece. In reply, HPCA raced to 208 in 40 overs losing eight wickets. Arsalan Khan top scored for HPCA with 47 runs, while Nitin Sharma made 45 and Apoorav Walia scored 35 runs. For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane claimed three wickets, while Prem Tamang took two, Sushil Kandel and Dipendra Singh Airee grabbed a wicket each.
