ICC meeting in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The International Cricket Council (ICC) will hold its Development Committee Meeting in Kathmandu during the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division-V slated for February 20-27. Previously, the meeting was held in Nepal in 2005 under the presence of ICC President Ehsan Mani and CEO Malcolm Speed. The meeting in 2005 provided Nepal with the opportunity to play a four-day match of the ICC Inter-Continental Cup against Namibia in their home ground. Nepal, however, lost the match to the hosts.

Seven-A-Side football

POKHARA: The eighth Indreni Open Seven-A-Side Football Tournament is set to begin here from Tuesday. A total of 34 teams are participating in the tournament organised by the Indreni Unified Development Centre. The winner of the tournament will earn Rs 30,111 while the runner-up will get Rs 20,111 while the Fair Play Team will pocket Rs 4,000 informed the organisers. The highest scorer and best player of the tournament will get Rs 2,000 each. Hosts Indreni will take on Jana Jagaran Youth Club in the inaugural match. Ram Ghat Boys Club are the defending champions of the tournament.
