Khakurel, Chaudhary score tons

Subhash Khakurel and Dipendra Chaudhary each scored a century as Kathmandu district registered a crushing 152-run victory over Nuwakot in the Springwood Region No 3 Senior Selection Cricket Tournament. In another match, Tribhuvan University defeated Bhaktapur by eight wickets.
Batting first, Kathmandu scored 349-6 in 40 overs before restricting Nuwakot for 197 in 36.5 overs. Man of the match Khakurel remained unbeaten on 113, hitting 14 fours and one six off 86 balls while Chaudhary’s 77-ball 101 included 14 boundaries and three sixes.
Rom Shrestha and Manish Gurung took two wickets each for Nuwakot. Rom Shrestha and Radhyshyam Mishra scored 46 runs each for Nuwakot. Rakesh Singh also contributed 31-ball 37. Abhaya Rana, Paras Khadka, Raj Shrestha and Raju Basnyat claimed two wickets each for Kathmandu.
In another match, Bhaktapur were bundled out for 110 in 33.2 overs and TU surpassed the total losing two wickets in just 15.2 overs. Rabin Joshi top-scored with 44 runs for Bhaktapur. Pramod Basnet, Prem Raj Upretti and Chandra Bikram KC took two wickets each for TU.
Pramod Basnet scored an unbeaten 34 runs for Tribhuvan University. Eden Bhatta and Manish Rai took one wicket each for Bhaktapur.
