Little Angels’ School won the team championship of the 10th LA-JTI Inter-school Junior Open Tennis Tournament here at their home courts today.

LA accumulated 48 points to win the team championship for the eighth time. Defending champions St Xavier’s earned 36 points to finish second, while Premier International School came third with 24 points.

On the final day, Adit Subedi of St Xavier’s won the U-14 boys’ singles title defeating Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya of Shuvatara 6-3, 6-0 in the final match. LA’s Saloni Tamang won the U-14 girls’ singles title with a 7-6, 6-0 win against Rayana Shah of Ace School. Likewise, Pranav Manandhar of Kasthamandap claimed the U-10 boys’ singles title beating Prasiddha Basnet of Nepal Police School 6-0, 6-2.

Earlier, Prasamsha Moktan of Premier had won the titles of the U-9 and U-10 girls’ singles. Nishad Joshi of St Xavier’s and Supriya Tamang of Saraswoti won the U-8 singles titles , while Ayushman Hajur Ghale won the U-9 boys’ title. Aditya Subedi of Aksharaa School and Rayana Shah of Ace had won the U-12 boys’ and girls’ singles titles respectively.
