Limbu bags title

SUNSARI: Birendra Bikram Limbu won the titles of the fourth Indra Baraha Memorial Amateur Open Golf Tournament here at the Nirvana Country Club and Golf Resort on Saturday.

Played under stroke play full handicap format, the 23-handicap amateur Limbu scored eight-under 62 nett to claim the trophy.

Hari Bahadur Rai came second with three-under 67, while Rabin Rai was third at 68. Yubaraj Bhujel won the gross section trophy with the score of three-over 73. Maj MB Limbu lifted the senior category title, while Jhuna Rai won the best sportsmanship award.

Likewise, Maj DB Gurung won the closest-to-the-pin award of the event, while Bikram Rai bagged the longest drive trophy and Niraj Tamang earned the most birdies award.

Dharan Municipality Mayor Tara Subba and Baraha Jewellery Industries owner Bishnu Maya Lamichhane among others handed over the prizes to the winners.
