TT team to depart
KATHMANDU: An eight-member table tennis team is going to New Delhi on Tuesday to take part in the 11th Asian Junior Table Tennis Championship to be held from July 23-28 and the South Asian Junior TT Tournament, slated for July 20-22. In all, 30 nations will be playing in the Asian-level event and six countries will take part in the South Asian Championship. Amar Lal Malla, Deep Sawan, Ajay Suwal, Reeta Prajapati, Swechhya Nembang and Pujan Shrestha
will represent Nepal in both tournaments. President of ANTTA Chaturananda Vaidya is leaving for New Delhi on July 21 to take part in the Asian Table Tennis Union meeting, where he would bid to host the South Asian junior TT Championship.
Aryal, Thing leave
KATHMANDU: Wushu’s Assistant chief referee Ganesh Prasad Aryal and assistant referee Amar Kumar Thing today left for Singapore to take part at the Asian Wushu Referee Course.
The training will be held from July 19, said Nepal Wushu Association in a release. Referees from 40 countries of Asia are expected to take part in the five-day training. — HNS
