Lalitpur: Sarita Adhikari and Sagun Thapa will play for the U-16 girls’ title at the sixth Jaykar Memorial Junior National Open Tennis Tournament. Sarita defeated Saloni Pandey and Sagun beat Pabitra Gurung with identical 6-4, 6-1 score. RIBS, Don Bosco advance

Kathmandu: RIBS and Don Bosco entered the boys’ semi-finals at the fifth Prime Cup U-19 National Basketball Championship. RIBS edged past Xavier International and Don Bosco overcame United Academy 40-38. Hosts Prime and Gyanodaya also made it to the last four. Prime beat Reliance 56-31 while Binod Maharjan scored 27 as Gyanodaya beat White House 50-39. Prime, White House, New Summit and Orient College advanced to the semi-finals in the girls’ section. Prime sneaked past White House 21-20, NCCS defeated KIST 10-3 and New Summit overcame DAV 21-15 in the league matches. — HNS
