Mahavir enter final
Kathmandu, March 18:
Mahavir Club registered a comprehensive 83-run win over Mandarine Palace Club and advanced to the final of the Kathmandu District Senior Cricket Selection Tournament here at the TU Stadium today.
Put into bat first, Mahavir were bowled out for 143 in 37 overs before restricting Mandarine to 59 runs in 21.3 overs.
Subhash Khakurel scored 67-ball 46 and Kushal Ghale made 19 for Mahavir. Prashiddha Aryal and Dipendra Chaudhary chipped in 11 runs each. Bijay Gautam and Sujan Thapa claimed two wickets apiece and Thupten Lama took one for Mandarine.
Only Sujan Thapa (11) was able to score in double figures for Mandarine. Dipendra Chaudhary and Raman Shrestha took three wickets each and Raju Basnet claimed two for Mahavir. Baluwatar Club will face New Road Group on Wednesday.
