BHAIRAHAWA: Tirupati Cricket Club and Lumbini Khukuri Cricket Club advanced to the final of the first Mayor Cup T20 Running Shield Cricket Tournament here on Friday.

In the semi-final matches, Tirupati defeated Sai Global Cricket Club by eight runs, while Lumbini Khukuri saw off Shaivashakti Cricket Club by 18 runs.

Opting to bat first, Tirupati were bowled out for 101 runs in 19.5 overs before restricting Sai Global to 93 runs in 19.4 overs. In another match, batting first, Lumbini Khukuri posted 143-8 before packing Shivashakti for 125 runs in 20 overs. — HNS
