KATHMANDU: As part of Unilever's commitment 'to make sustainable living a commonplace', it has partnered with the Nepali Army towards the 'Mountain Cleaning Campaign 2023'.
The theme for this year is 'An Endeavour to save the Himalayas, as per a press release.
The multi-stakeholder programme is aimed at protecting the mountains and minimising the effects of climate change by cleaning up peaks.
This year the aim will be to clean Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, Mt Annapurna and Mt Baruntse and collect 35 tonnes of garbage.
