Nepal beat Pandura Sports Club

Nepal cricket team, which is in Sri Lanka for the final preparation ahead of the fifth ACC Trophy to be held in Malaysia from June 12-22, defeated Pandura Sports Club by 88 runs in the second practice match. Batting first, Nepal scored 163 runs losing seven wickets in 39 overs, reduced due to rain. Non-striking opener Sharad Vesawkar was once again the hero top-scoring with 40 off 70 balls, which included four fours. Shakti Gauchan was retired hurt after scoring 22 off 25 balls, while skipper Raju Khadka hit three fours in his 32-ball 34. Vice captain Binod Das scored run-a-ball 12, and wicketkeeper Manoj Katuwal was unbeaten on nine.

For Pandura, Helan Edigamasuriya and Jeevan Chamikara took two wickets each. In reply, the home team was packed off for just 75 runs in 33.2 overs. Mudith Budhika top-scored in the innings with 24 off 55 balls including two fours before being run out. Danusha Indunil scored 14 off 44 balls, while Sudan Tharanga made 10 off 28 balls. For Nepal, Sanjam Regmi and Raj Kumar Pradhan took three wickets each conceding 15 runs in eight overs and 10 runs in 5.2 overs respectively. Shakti Gauchan and Binod Das grabbed one wicket each. Nepal defeated Moors Sports Club by 26 runs in the first practice match on Sunday.
