KATHMANDU: Nepal lost their semi-final match of the SAFF U-16 Championship to India 1-0, on Sunday.

In the match played at the Sylhet District Stadium of Bangladesh today, Rahem Ali had scored the decisive goal for India in the 22nd minute.

Despite a number of attempts to get back in the game, Nepal could not score any goal.

In the previous edition of Championship held in Kathmandu in 2013, Nepal had gone down by the equal score-line against India in the final.

Earlier, in the first semi-final match of the tournament, Bangladesh had edged Aghanistan 1-0 to enter the final.
