The Nepali cricket team created several historic moments in their victory against Mongolia at the 19th Asian Games held at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou, China, on Wednesday morning.

Nepal posted a total of 314/3 in 20 overs, setting a new T20 world record in today's match with explosive batting by Nepali batters Kusal Mall and Deependra Singh Airee. With this score, Nepal became the first team to score 300 in a T20 international match.

Kushal Malla posted an explosive 137 from 50 balls, hitting 12 sixes and eight fours, breaking the record for the fastest century in T20 Internationals with just 34 balls. This record was previously jointly held by David Miller and Rohit Sharma for scoring century from 35 balls.

Meanwhile, Dipendra Singh Airee played an grand inning in which he broke Yuvraj Singh's record for the fastest half-century in T20 Internationals by scoring 50 runs in just nine balls, including eight sixes. Previously, Yuvraj Singh had achieved it in 12 balls against England in the T20 World Cup in 2007. Airee posted a total of 52 runs in just 10 balls.

Nepali captain Rohit Paudel contributed 61 runs from 27 balls, while the opening pair of Kusal Bhurtel scored 19 runs, and Asif Sheikh scored 16 runs.

Mongolia, chasing their target of 315, was bowled out for 41 runs in 13.1 overs. Mongolia's Dabasuren scored 10 runs, the only player to reach double digits.

Nepali bowlers Karan KC, Avinash Bohora, and Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets each, while Sompal Kami, Deependra Singh Airee, and Kusal Bhurtel took 1 wicket each.

Nepal will face Maldives on October 1 in another game of the group stage.
