Kathmandu, June 14:

Vaishnavi High School and Nepal Rastriya Higher Secondary School registered identical 5-4 wins on penalties to enter the Group H final of the selection tournament for the Coca-Cola Inter-school National Football Tournament today.

In the day’s semi-finals, Vaishnavi defeated Paropakar High School, while Nepal Rastriya beat Bhaktapur English School. Both the matches went to tie-breaker after they teams were deadlocked at 1-1 in the 70 minutes of regulation play.

Birendra Magar put Paropakar ahead in the 59th minute, while Dinesh Thapa levelled the scores a minute later. In the other match, Bhaktapur took lead through a 13th minute goal from Nasib Chitrakar and Raj Kumar Lama netted the equaliser in the 17th minute.

Also, Lalitpur Academy defeated Little Flower Boarding School 2-0 on goal from Babin Limbu and Pushkar Rai.
