LALITPUR: Nepal Taekwondo Association on Thursday provided the quake-affected players and families with financial support of Rs 740,000. NTA President Prakash Shamsher Rana handed over the cheques to nine district sports development committees and taekwondo coordination committees amidst a programme. According to the association, families of the players who lost their lives in the devastating earthquake will be handed over Rs 20,000 each, while those who had their houses damaged will get Rs 10,000 apiece from their respective district and coordination committees. Committees from Gorkha and Dolkha districts received Rs 340,000 and Rs 60,000 respectively, while coordination committee from Nuwakot was handed over Rs 80,000. Bhaktapur received Rs 70,000, while Lalitpur and Kavre got Rs 60,000 each. The NTA also gave Rs 40,000 to Kathmandu, Rs 30,000 to Dhading and 10,000 to Okhaldhunga committees.
