Nepal decide to field against Scotland as match reduced to 36 overs

KATHMANDU: The ICC World Cricket League Championship match between Nepal and Scotland at Ayr, Scotland has been reduced to 36 overs per side as the play has been delayed due to wet outfield.

The match, which was scheduled for 10:45 am local time, will start at 2 pm (6:45 pm Nepal Standard Time) today.

After inspecting it, the umpires observed that the field, which was drenched following an outpour, was not ready for the play. More sawdust was added in the wet spots to prepare the field ready for the play

Meanwhile, Nepal won the toss and elected to field.
