Swimmers to go to SL
KATHMANDU: Four Nepali swimmers are set to compete in the South Asian Aquatic Championship slated for October 19-23 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Nitesh Manandhar will compete in 50m and 100m freestyle, 200m breaststroke and 50m backstroke events, while Devesh Manadhar will take part in 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle, 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 200m individual medley events.
Likewise, Anubhav Subba will swim in 50m, 100m and 400m freestyle, 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke, 100m butterfly and 200m individual medley events, while Subham Shrestha will take part in 50m freestyle, 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events. Ongden Lama is the team coach and Nepal Swimming Association Member Parash Shrestha is the manager.
NSA President Ashok Bajracharya bade farewell to the team, which will leave for Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
