KATHMANDU: The Nepal Sports Journalists Forum on Monday announced five nominees in the People's Choice category of the Pulsar Sports Award.
The selection committee picked up footballer Anjan Bista, cricketer Aasif Sheikh, spiker Usha Bhandari, tennis player Abhilasha Bista and swimmer Duwana Lama as the nominees, informed NSJF Secretary Anjan Khadka at a press meet.
"The players were selected as per their popularity in the last year and the winner will be decided on public votes, Facebook likes and votes received from the members of the NSJF and chief coaches of the National Sports Council," Khadka said. Meanwhile, the NSJF extended contract with digital payment partner eSewa.
President Durganath Subedi and eSewa Head of Business Development Ashish Prasai exchanged the memorandum of understanding. The Pulsar Sports Award, which features nine categories, is slated for March 7 at Nepal Academy.
