Kathmandu, June 17

Pabitra Kumar Karki won the title of the Surya Nepal Gokarna Monthly Medal here at the Gokarna Golf Club today.

Karki carded six-under 68 nett to win the fourth edition of the tournament. Babu Sherpa came second with five-under 67, while Maj Gen Daman Bahadur Ghale finished third at four-under 68.

Prithivi Malla won the gross section title with the score of even-par 72, whereas Tanish Sanghai claimed the junior category trophy with the score of one-under 71.

In all, 37 golfers took part in the event which was played under stroke play full handicap format. South Korean Ambassador to Nepal Park Young Sik handed over the prizes to the winners.

After the fourth edition, Rabindra Tiwari leads the nett category title with 240 points, while Pabitra Kumar Karki is second with 130 and Joseph Nathan is third with 100.

In gross section, Prithivi Malla leads the table with 330 points, ahead of Gopal Chitra (190) and Rabindra Tiwari (90).

Likewise, Sam Doublard is at the top of the junior section standing with 235 points. Arnav Shah is second with 225 and Phurba Sherpa is third with 210.
