PCC claim trophy

Hosts Pokhara Cricket Club defeated Rising Cricket Academy by 99 runs and won the title of the United Goldmart PCC Inter-club Cricket Tournament here at the Pokhara Stadium on Saturday.
Opting to bat first, PCC posted 189-4 in their allotted 20 overs before RCA managed just 90-6. Man-of-the-match Gobind Pradhan contributed 38-ball 59 for PCC. Top two teams earned Rs 40,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
PCC’s Pradeep Rawas was named the best player of the tournament and got Rs 7,500 along with cricket kits. His teammate Rijan Praju was adjudged the best batsman, while Sangrila Cricket Club’s Bipin Khatri received the best bowler’s award.
Pokhara Cricket Academy’s 10-year-old Sohil Kunwar was named the emerging player and he got Rs 5,050. A total of eight teams competed in the tournament organised by Pokhara Cricket Club.
