DHARAN: Nayan Rai won the title of the sixth Indra Baraha Memorial Amateur Open Golf Tournament here at the Dharan Golf Club on Saturday.

Played under stableford full handicap format, the 16-handicap amateur golfer Rai carded five-under 65 to claim the trophy along with gift hamper worth Rs 15,000 from Baraha Department Store. Bharat Tamang came second with the score of four-under 66 and he received gift hamper worth Rs 10,000, while Bal Bahadur Rai came third with the score of three-under 67. Akash Rai won the gross section award with the score of one-under 69, while Sumitra Limbu claimed the women's section title finishing ahead of Sushila Rai. Tulasi Ram Limbu bagged the senior section trophy, while Siddhanta Sapkota won the junior section title. SP Bhim Dahal won the most birdies award, while Hemant Thapa and Tek Bahadur Rai bagged the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin titles respectively.

Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Tilak Rai, Dharan Golf Club President Tika Limbu and Baraha Group President Shiva Kumar Lamichhane among others handed over the prizes to the winners.
