Ruslan Simara Gold Cup to kick off tomorrow

BARA: The 10th edition of Ruslan Simara Gold Cup will kick off tomorrow, the organisers said. The hosts Nawa Janajagrati Youth Club said in a press meet today that all the necessary preparations have been completed for the tournament.

Amid a function, Federal Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Bishowakarma will inaugurate the event tomorrow afternoon.

A total of 10 teams including 7 'A' division clubs and three local clubs are participating in this year's competition.

According to the club's chairperson Kasim Miya, defending champion Tribhuvan Army, Sankata, Himalayan Sherpa, Three Star Club, Saraswoti Youth Club, Nepal Police Club, APF team, Makwanpur -XI, Bishal Memorial Foundation Birgunj and the hosts are taking part in the competition.

The winner will walk away with a cash purse of Rs 0.6 million, the runner-up will get 0.3 million along with certificates, medals and trophy. Likewise, the best individual players will also be rewarded with individual accolades.

A total cost is estimated around Rs 7.7 million and the event is sponsored by Bijaya Distillery and supported by National Sports Council, ANFA and Jeetpursimara Sub Metropolitan City.

The event is being organised as per the calendar of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), organisers said.
