Lalitpur, July 31

Saloni Tamang and Prerana Koirala advanced to the girls’ U-14 category semi-finals of the first ANLTA-JTI National Junior Tennis Tournament here at the Satdobato Tennis Complex today.

In the quarter-final matches, Tamang outplayed Rayana Shah 6-1, 6-3, while Koirala recorded a 6-1, 6-4 win against Abhilasha Bista.

In girls’ U-12 section, Isha Shree Shah defeated Shubhangee Laxmi Shah 6-0, 6-3 and advanced to the last four. Meanwhile, Prasamsa Moktan claimed the title of girls’ U-9 category beating Sunira Thapa 5-3, 4-2 in final.

In boys’ U-14 category quarter-final matches, Aadit Subedi recorded a hard-fought 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 victory against Aryan Giri and Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya saw off Prasidha Moktan 6-1, 6-0.

Likewise, Aryan Giri beat Pritam Pariyar 6-0, 6-2 to make it to the last four in U-12 category. Aarav Hada defeated Rajbir Pradhan 6-0, 6-0 and Pranav Manandhar beat Sakshyam Bikram Shah 2-6, 7-5, 10-2 to secure boys’ U-10 category semi-final berths.
