Kathmandu, August 26

Shree Kumari Club beat Mahabir Club 1-0 to register their second straight victory in the Martyrs Memorial B Division Football League at the Nepal APF Club grounds today.

Subarna Samekham scored the solitary goal of the match in the 73rd minute to hand Mahabir their first defeat. Shree Kumari, who defeated Chyasal Youth Club 2-1 on Tuesday, moved to second position with six points.

Ranipokhari Corner Team, who also have six points, are at the top on better goal. Mahabir are 11th with one point.

In another match of the day, Pulchowk Sports Club defeated Satdobato Youth Club 3-0 riding on a brace from Purna Bahadur Gurung. Mandip Thapa netted one for the winners.

Gurung put Pulchowk ahead in the 11th minute, while Thapa doubled the advantage in 25th minute. Gurung scored his second to make it 3-0 in the 86th minute.

At the ANFA Complex grounds in Lalitpur, Chyasal edged past Tushal 2-0 for their first win in two matches. Arun Shrestha headed home to put Chyasal ahead in the 12th minute, while Rabin Byanjankar doubled the tally in the 64th minute.

Five teams, Pulchowk, Chyasal, Satdobato, Tushal and Boys Union are tied on three points and they hold fifth to ninth position respectively on goal difference.
