Prince Dahal and Jessica Gurung won the titles of the first Chief Minister National Ranking Open Badminton Tournament today.

The Nepal Police Club shuttler, Dahal defeated Praful Maharjan of Tribhuvan Army Club 23-21, 21-15 in the men's singles final. NPC's Bishnu Katuwal and TAC's Rukesh Maharjan finished joint third.

Nepal APF Club's Gurung won the women's singles title with a 21-8, 21-15 victory over TAC's Amita Giri in final. TAC's Rashila Maharjan and Kasturi College's Sima Rajbanshi came joint third.

Top three shuttlers in both sections got Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.

Dahal teamed up with Bishnu Katuwal to help NPC win men's doubles title. They came from a set down to defeat TAC duo Praful Maharjan and Rukesh Maharjan 19-21, 21-13, 21-14 in the final. TAC shuttlers Amita Giri and Rashila Maharjan beat APF duo Jessica Gurung and Sunaina Mukhiya 21-10, 21-9 in women's doubles final.

Praful Maharjan and Rashila Maharjan won mixed doubles gold after they defeated TAC teammates Pabin Linthep and Anumaya Rai 21-10, 21-8 in the final match. Top three players in doubles categories received Rs 30,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 7,500 respectively.

Likewise, Bhajan Lal Chaudhary and Shyam Lama of Sagar Feed won above-45 section title after they came from a set down to beat Sports Hub duo Sun Bahadur Samba and Lakpa Sherpa 15-21, 21-18, 21-18. In above-55 section, Sunsari's Ganesh Rai and Bhojpur's Dan Bahadur Tamang, while Guwahati's Vastav Niyog and Dhading's Bishnu Lal Shrestha finished second.

Top three shuttlers in veteran sections received Rs 20,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.

Arush Simkhada of APF and Niva Rai of Kaski won U-11 section gold, while TAC duo Rijan Magar and Rihana Sherchan claimed gold medals in U-13 category. Also, TAC's Kabir KC and Rihana Sherchan claimed gold medals in U-15 section. The winners in U-11, U-13 and U-15 sections got Rs 13,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 17,000 respectively.
