Lalitpur, February 1:

Rajeev Yadav scored a hat-trick as Siraha blanked Banke 3-0 and entered the quarter-finals of the central-level ANFA-Mayos Inter-school Football Tournament here at ANFA Complex today. In another match, Dil Prasad Gurung struck twice as Nawalparasi defeated Nuwakot 6-2. Dil Bahadur Gurung, Ranadip Pun, Krishna Sharma, Bhoj Raj Chhetry also scored for the winners while Gyanendra Thakuri scored both goals for Nuwakot.

Ashok Rai scored two goals, and Harka Chamling and Buddha Chemjong netted a goal each in Dhankuta’s 4-1 win over Tanahun, whereas Indra Gurung scored a consolation goal for the losing team. Also, Rajendra Rai and Bijay Khadgi scored a goal each as Chitwan beat Mahottari 2-0. At Buddhi Bikash Mandal, Sunsari beat Bara 2-1. Bobby Rai and Raju Baniya scored for Sunsari, while Rajesh Chaudhari netted the consolation goal for Bara. In other matches, Arjun Bhujule scored the only goal as Saptari outplayed Syangja 1-0; and Jhapa beat Sarlahi 3-2. Bikash Rai, Tika Ram Gurung and Bishal Rai scored for Jhapa, whereas Sanjay Lama and Rama Nanda scored for Sarlahi.

The winners advanced to the quarter-finals, which are slated for Wednesday.
