Sports for All, Nepal help to Ghale, Shah

Sports for All, Nepal on Friday handed over Rs 50,000 each
to former football internationals YB Ghale and Mani
Bikram Shah.
Ghale, who is the first international goal scorer for the country when he scored against Kuwait at the
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the Asian Games, has been suffering from paralysis,
while Shah is suffering from Lever Sirosic since last three and half years. Shah’s best moments in football career came in the sixth South Asian Federation Games when he scored against India in Nepal’s
last South Asian Federation (SAF) Games in Bangladesh
in 1995. Umesh Pradhan
and Shah scored to force
the tie-breaker before winning the gold medal.
The Sports for All, Nepal had raised Rs 398,000 from
the Dr Harka Gurung Memorial Seven-A-side Football
Tournament. President Gita Rana, who has announced
her candidacy for the upcoming All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) elections, said
they were able to save Rs 98,000 from the tournament and we added Rs 2,000 to give away Rs 50,000 each to the former football players.
