Kathmandu, January 19

Subisu Cablenet Pvt Ltd is organising the Subisu Golf Tournament at the Royal Nepal Golf Club on Saturday.

A total of 60 golfers from corporate houses will participate in the one-day event which will be played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, informed the organisers at a press meet today. “We are organising the golf tournament for the first time and we are expecting golfers from national and international business and corporate houses in the event,” said Binay Mohan Saud, CEO at Subisu Cablenet Pvt Ltd.

The tournament is divided into two categories — men and women section — and the winners will receive trophies and gift hampers from Subisu Cablenet, informed RNGC Tournament Committee chief Kishan Agrawal. “We also have special prize of one-year subscription of internet and cable for Hole-in-One,” he added.

“This is just the beginning and we hope the event will be one of the regular tournaments in Nepali golf calendar. The objective of this event is to bring corporate houses together and help in the development of the sport in long run,” said Agrawal. “We are also in talks with Subisu Cablenet for a three-day tournament for amateur golfers.”

A separate putting competition for non-golfers and guests will be held on the sidelines of the tournament. “Overall, the tournament will be a fun event where golfers and guests from different corporate houses will get to interact with each other,” said CEO Saud.
