Lalitpur, April 29

Tribhuvan Army Club registered their second straight victory defeating Eastern Region 6-0 in the Super League match of the Women’s National Football League here at the ANFA Complex grounds today.

Sapana Lama and Sharmila Thapa Magar scored braces for the TAC, while Kabita Dhimal and Indira Rai netted one each against hapless Eastern Region.

The win meant TAC opened up a three-point lead after the second and penultimate round. TAC accumulated six points to remain at the top of the four-team table, while Nepal Police Club and Nepal APF Club have three each with the former ahead on head-to-head results.

Lama scored her second goal of the match in the 19th minute as TAC went into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead. Substitute Rai score team’s fourth goal in the 54th minute, while Thapa Magar found the back of the nets in the 66th and 90th minutes to seal comfortable victory.
