KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club and Women Wheelchair Basketball Association won the titles of the Inter-valley Wheelchair Basketball Tournament here at the NSC covered hall on Thursday.
TAC defeated Jawalakhel Wheelchair Sports Club 44-33 in the men's section final. Dan Thing top scored for TAC with 22 points. In women's category final, WWBA beat hosts Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association 19-2 riding on 13 points from Rajani Chamling.
TAC's Ramesh Khatri and WWBA's Rajani Chamling won the Most Valuable Player awards. Top three teams of the tournament received Rs 40,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively. National Sports Council Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising and Bagmati Provincial Assembly Member Laxmi Ghimire among others handed the prizes to the winners.
