Team to go to India

KATHMANDU: A 24-member Nepali team is on Wednesday leaving for India to prepare for the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup.

According to CAN, the team will also play practice matches in Dharamshala and New Delhi before leaving for Bangladesh to participate in the World Cup slated for January 22 to February 14.

Captain Raju Rijal will lead side, while Aarif Sheikh is vice-captain. Other players in the team are Sandip Sunar, Sunil Dhamala, Dipendra Airee, Sourabh Khanal, Prem Tamang, Sushil Kandel, Dipesh Shrestha, Rajbir Singh, Yogendra Karki, Sandip Lamichhane, Himamshu Dutta, Shankar Rana, Ishan Pandey, Kushal Bhurtel, Irsad Ahmed, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi and Nandan Yadav.

The officials in the team are Subash Bahadur Shahi (team manager), Jagat Tamatta (head coach), Binod Das (assistant coach), Dinesh Bhatta (physio) and Raman Shiwakoti (technical analyst).
