DHANGADHI: Three Star Club defeated defending champions Manang Marshyangdi Club 2-0 in the final of the sixth Sudurpashchim Chief Minister Khaptad Gold Cup here at the Dhangadhi Stadium on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, player-of-thematch Anil Maharjan opened the scoring for Three Star in the 73rd minute, while skipper Bikram Lama doubled the tally in the fifth minute of the injury time. Lama was later declared the best player of the tournament and he received Rs 100,000.

Along with the title Three Star received Rs 2.1 million, while MMC earned one million rupees. Three Star goalkeeper Mohamad Rabih Taha, defender Peter Segun and coach Meghraj KC won the best individual awards, while MMC grabbed two - midfielder Bhison Gurung and highest scorer Sayidjamol Davlatjonov.

The five best individuals received Rs 15,000 each. Dipendra Malasi of Sudurpashchim-XI won the rising player award along with Rs 25,000.
