KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Keshav Shrestha and Bilam Lal Shrestha shared the second place after the fifth round of the International Masters Chess Tournament in Dhaka. Both the players have earned 2.5 points. Bilam Lal drew Pakistani IM Mirza Sahbad. Badri Lal Nepali beat Bangl-adesh’s rated player Ahmed Mohtab to earn 1.5 points after the fifth round. — HNS

LALITPUR: JOSO FC of Japan defeated Nabil Three Star Club 2-1 in a friendly football match here at the ANFA Complex on Sunday. The Japanese team arrived here on Friday under the leadership of JOSO FC convenor Suresh Bajracharya. The visitors also included former Three Star player and coach Mrigendra Mishra in their team. Founder president of Three Star Club Dinkar Govinda Amatya led the local club that fielded young and veteran players. — HNS
