KCM claim tri-series
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu College of Management (KCM) won the LACM Tri-series Running Shield Cricket Tournament defeating Nepal College of Management (NCM) by 32 runs. Batting first, KCM were bowled out for 146 runs in 20.2
overs with Saneej Shrestha hitting half century (59). Prasanna Shakya, Emil Pradhan and Sajan Baiju claimed three wickets each for NCM. In reply, NCM could muster 114 runs in 24.4 overs. Abhisek Singh made 40 runs. Saneej and Bijay Bhandari took three wickets each for KCM. Saneej won three awards — man of the match, man of the series and best bowler. Binay Maharjan of LACM won the best batsman award. — HNS
Hosts Wilson win
KATHMANDU: Hosts Wilson Academy claimed both senior and junior boys’ title in the sixth Wilson Inter-school Basketball Tournament. Wilson beat Sridiwa 52-42 in the senior boys’ while the hosts beat The Excelsior 36-23 in the junior boys’ section. Alpha’s won the girls’ title with a 37-12 win over Teressa. Sarad Robertson of The British (Senior boys’), Birat Manandhar of Wilson (Junior boys’) and Sita Shrestha of Teressa (girls’) won the MVP awards. — HNS
