LALITPUR: Baluwatar Cricket Academy (BCA)defeated Ganjala Cricket Club (GCC) by 62 runs in the Shaym Chaitanya Baba Memorial sixth Winter Trophy Cricket Tournament. Batting first, BCA scored 166/8 in 30 overs and packed GCC for just 104 runs in 20.2 overs. Man of the match, Suman Uday scored 50 off 57 balls for the winning team. Niraj Shakya top-scored with 19 runs for GCC. Ramesh Shrestha took four wickets conceding 20 runs in 5.2 overs and Abishek Acharya took two for BCC. —HNS

RIBS beat RB College

KATHMANDU: Om Shrestha of Rato Bangala top-scored with 22 points but failed to save his college from a 37-73 loss to RIBS in the Rato Bangala Inter-college Basketball Tournament. Om Shrestha netted 20 points for the winners. In the other match, Gyanodaya beat Kathmandu Valley 70-38, riding on Kalyan Tulachan’s 34 points. Niraj Pandey scored 10 points for Kathmandu Valley. — HNS
