Tri-nation motor rally to kick off on Feb 23

Just Sportz, sports management group of India, Nepal Motor Sports Club and Chitwan Automobiles Dealers Association are jointly organising the Himalayan Drive 6 Tri-nation Motor Rally in India, Nepal and Bhutan from February 23-28.
The rally, which will kick off from Siliguri of India on February 23, will go through Chitwan’s Sauraha, Bishazarilake, Bharatpur, Nayangadh, Dahakhani and Lothar dam.
The rally will also cover Hetauda, Pathlaiya, Nijgadh and Itahari on February 25, informed CADA President Ishwor Shrestha at a press meet today.
According to Shrestha, CADA will manage the rally in Chitwan and it will cost nearly Rs 1.9 million. Similarly, NMSC will manage the rally in other parts of the country.
After Nepal, the rally will enter Bhutan through India on February 26 and return to India’s Darjeeling the next day before concluding on February 28, according to rally coordinator Suchandan Das.
A total of 120 drivers of 60 cars, including 10 cars from Nepal, will take part in the competition and the top three drivers will earn Indian rupee (INR) 100,000, INR 75,000 and INR 50,000 respectively.
The winners of the Tri-nation motor rally will be decided based on time, distance and speed covered by the cars.
