JHAPA: Tribhuvan Army Club beat Nepal APF Club 3-2 and advanced to the semi-finals of the second Satakshi Gold Cup Football Tournament here on Saturday.

George Prince Karki, Suman Aryal and Deep Lama scored one goal each for TAC, while Anjan Bista and Shyam Nepali netted one goal each for APF.

Bista opened the scoring for APF in the 25th minute from the spot before Karki levelled the tally for TAC in the 32nd minute. Nepali regained APF’s lead in the 39th minute before Aryal scored the equaliser for TAC in the 55th minute.

Lama then sealed the victory for TAC in the 67th minute. TAC’s George Prince Karki was named the man-of-the-match and got Rs 10,000. TAC will now play against Rum Pum Jhapa-XI.

On Sunday, Agni Rupandehi-XI will take on Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club.
