Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Rupandehi-XI 4-2 in penalty shootout and entered the final of the 19th Tilottama Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the ANFA Technical Centre grounds in Devi Nagar today.

The winners were decided through spot kick battle after both the teams played a goalless draw in regulation period of 90 minutes and 20 minutes of extra time.

Hiranya Magar, Raju Tamang, Bibek Basnet and Deep Lama converted from the spot for departmental side TAC, while Saurav Magar and Uttam Gurung were able to score for Rupandehi.

TAC glovesman Sushil Srivastav saved Samson’s attempt, while Agbolla hit wide.

TAC will face CMG Club Sankata in Saturday’s final match. Sankata had defeated Himalayan Sherpa Club 2-1 in Wednesday’s semi-final match.
