KATHMANDU: TU Central Campus and Shankar Dev Campus advanced to the semi-finals of the Sponsor University Cricket Cup Twenty20 Tournament here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium on Saturday.

TU defeated NIST College by six wickets, while Shankar Dev outplayed Global College by 67 runs. Batting first, NIST were bowled out for 86 runs in 19.2 overs before TU raced to victory in 17 overs with six wickets in hand.

Santosh Pandey top scored for NIST with 23 of 27 balls hitting a six. Alfaj Mansuri claimed four wickets for TU. In reply, Pradeep Tandon scored 36 off 40 balls that included a four and two sixes, while Alfaj Mansuri remained unbeaten on 23 off 34 balls with the help of two boundaries for TU.

In another match, Shankar Dev scored 138-9 in 20 over before packing Global College for 71 runs in 13.1 overs.
