Tuladhar gets donation

KATHMANDU: Mitrayuva Kyokusin Karate-do Club (MKKC), Simrik Yuva Pariwar and Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association jointly raised Rs.53, 345 to donate for the treatment of former Nepali taekwondo player Manju Tuladhar here today.

The founder president of the MKKC club Pushpa Manandhar handed over the amount to Tuladhar at the club premises in Chetrapati today. The eighth South Asian Federation (SAF) silver medalist Tuladhar was recently diagnosed with failed kidneys and she has been undergoing dialysis twice a week at the Blue Cross Nursing Home.

Doctors have advised her for the kidney transplantation at the earliest. Tuladhar also has a gold medal under her belt at the second National Games in 1983 apart from bronze medals at the Asian Taekwondo Championship in 1998 and the third National Games in 1985.

Nepal Judo Association President Deepak Harsha Bajracharya was first to come up with the helping hands for the former player. Bajracharya donated Rs 11,000 on Wednesday.
