WT20: Pakistan sets 119-run target for India in 18-over game

UPDATED:

KOLKATA: India's bowlers combined well to restrict Pakistan to 118-5 in 18 overs in their high profile World Twenty20 game on Saturday.

Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina all took a wicket each on a tricky batting pitch. The Group 2 match was reduced to 18 overs per team after a delayed start because of a wet outfield.

Put into bat by India, Pakistan was helped by a 41-run fourth-wicket stand between Shoaib Malik (26) and Umar Akmal (22)

Ahmed Shehzad struck 25 off 28 balls during an unhurried start for Pakistan on a pitch aiding significant turn.

He added 38 for the opening stand with Sharjeel Khan (17) as Pakistan started cautiously to reach 24 after five overs of power-play.
