KATHMANDU: Hosts Xavier International College and Saipal Academy won the titles of the Xavier Cup U-19 Inter-college Basketball Tournament here on Sunday. In boys’ final, Xavier edged past Golden Gate 53-31 riding on Sailesh Gurung’s 15 points. Likewise, Saipal recorded a 47-19 win against Prime in girl’s final. Shriya Khadka top scored for Saipal with nine points. Anish Magar of Xavier and Sweta Kharel of Saipal won the Most Valuable Player awards.
