Life in Dewanganj, Sunsari is gradually returning to normal following recent communal clashes, according to local administration. While the Chief District Officer (CDO) has urged residents to maintain peace, communal harmony, and brotherhood, security remains tight.
Joint patrols by the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepali Army, including aerial surveillance, are ongoing in sensitive areas. The curfew remains in effect in Devanganj as a 5-member committee carries out a week-long probe into the incident.
