In retaliation for his dowry demand not being met, a doctor in a Maharashtra town allegedly injected his wife and five-year-old daughter with the AIDS virus, police said here today. Ajay Sharma from Nandarbar town in Maharashtra is reported to have fled to Bharuch town in south Gujarat, about 200 kilometres from here. The Nandarbar police alerted us about Sharma and we have launched a manhunt,” a police official from Bharuch said. Meanwhile, sources said that Ajay Sharma’s wife had taken her daughter with her to an unknown destination to avoid any public shame.
