Upon his arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport today, Deuba said his party would assume the role of a strong and active opposition.

The former Prime Minister clarified that his party was not into toppling the incumbent government and form a NC-led one.

Instead, the party would continue raising voices in interests of the public, he added.

"We will stress the issues including post-quake reconstruction and relief operation for the quake-survivors at the earliest in the Parliament."

Deuba had left for the Indian Capital on April 18 for his wife lawmaker Arzu Rana Deuba’s health treatment .

Rana Deuba had successfully undergone a hip replacement surgery on April 20.

Arzu, however, did not return with Deuba today as she needed to spend some more time at the health facility.

During his sojourn in Delhi, Deuba had held a meeting with Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on April 21., though no any political meeting was scheduled earlier.
