DHANGADHI, FEBRUARY 14

The instances of tiger sighting on roads during the day have increasingly become frequent along the East-West Highway in Kailali district.

On Friday, 27-year-old Durga Chaudhary of Dudhiya in Kailari Rural Municipality-8 was injured after she was attacked by a tiger when she was around the local forest. She has been receiving treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital.

An adult tiger was sighted crossing the road on Saturday in the forest located along the Rajipur-Badaipur road section of the highway in Gauriganga Municipality. Although the tiger did not attack anyone, these recent frequent sightings have caused terror in the locals.

There are scores of human settlements near the Rajipur-Badaipur forest area.
