Protesting against the dissolution of the House of Representatives, students close to the Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) today hurdled shoes at the effigy of 'regression' in front of Narayanhiti Museum in the capital.

Activists of All Nepal National Free Students' Union, the NCP's student wing, had also created a symbolic life-size board in silhouette of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The black board had 'regression' written on the forehead.

Dozens of the students had hurled shoes at the effigy n front of policemen deployed there for security.

Agitating students staged protest outside Narayanhiti, where PM Oli had a few weeks ago addressed a mass demonstration.

Political parties have been staging demonstration across the country against the December 20 move of the PM for months now.
