KATHMANDU: The 13th annual general assembly of Nepal Oxygen Gas Production Association (NOGPA) for the fiscal year 2022-23 has been successfully conducted, in which Gaurav Sharda was unanimously re-elected as the chairman of the association.
Additionally, Virendra Kumar Sanghai was elected as the vice-chairman, Narayan Datt Timalsina as the secretary, Prahlad Timilsina as the treasurer, and Shankar Lal Agrawal, Abhik Jyoti, Dinesh Dhakal, and Sharad Khanal were elected as members, as per a press statement.
The government hasn't yet returned the oxygen cylinders taken during COVID crisis which has caused significant financial losses to the industry and board members have promised to draw government attention on the same.
The association has made the decision to pressurise the concerned government body to establish necessary laws regarding the standardisation and regulation of oxygen cylinder quality.
