UFL reaches 15th yr

KATHMANDU: Union Finance Limited (UFL) reached to 15 years service on Saturday. The finance company has shifted to a new corporate office at Kamaladi, Kathmandu. The office also shifted its Kathmandu branch offices to the new premises. UFL has paid up capital of Rs 159.9 million and its general reserve stands at Rs. 53.4 million. UFL has a deposit base of Rs. 957.8 million and loan portfolio Rs. 1,148.9 million.

Transporters’ strike

KATHMANDU: Transporters of Nepal have shown grave concern in brutal killing of Rajeshwor Dube, manager of Pashupati Road Careers Pvt Ltd in Birgunj on Thursday. They have shutdown their offices and stopped transportation of goods on Friday in the call of Federation of Transporter-Nepal. They have also urged the government for effective investigation and bring the culprit in book.

NMTTA concerned

KATHMANDU: Nepal Meter Taxi Trade Association (NMTTA) has asked the government to bring the killer of taxi driver Megh Bahadur Tamang, 22, in book. Tamang permanent resident of Mahadev Tar VDC-9 of Kavre had been driving Ba 1 Ja 914 number taxi before his death in Narephat, border adjoining Kathmandu and Bhaktapur district on Thursday. NMTTA has also sought compensation for the deceased’s family.
